But it does.
It does… one at a time. It’d be useful to be able to select more than one. G&T but not higher, M&E only, everything but E for those who just don’t like smut. (btw I just checked and there is none of the exclusion filters showing on the search page at least in my computer)
AO3 does ‘and’ filters.
You don’t filter for M&E. You filter for not the other stuff.

I have never seen so many users clearly baffled by and too skittish to push buttons/toggles that are very clearly meant to be used.
If a trusted website has a button and you don’t immediately know or understand what it does, push it. Check out every drop down, every link, every configuration imaginable. Be adventurous. Fuck around and find out. If it breaks the website, they shouldn’t have had that button in the first place. Not on you. Indulge your curiosity instead of complaining it doesn’t do something it absolutely does if you poke around a little.
You’re not going to get a bad grade in filtering by using interface features from AO3, I promise.
Look, there are library systems that don’t have filters as good as AO3. You have to learn how to use Boolean operators (AND OR NOT) and construct a proper query to exclude in several academic databases, and AO3 just performs “NOT” for you by clicking a button.
Do you know how many grad students would love to have the kind of power you have with AO3 in filters?
Ao3 filters are amazing. You can filter out ratings, you can filter out characters or pairings, you can filter out specific tags (as long as it’s an official tag)! (Type it in under “other tags to exclude”)
This is why the antis complaining about seeing content they don’t like on Ao3 is so frustrating. If something squicks you out, filter it, and you never have to see it again! Voila! Or even if it is just something you don’t like. I have High School AUs filtered out because I just don’t like them! It’s an amazing system and makes it so easy to curate your experience.

HOW TO MAKE TRANSPARENT SPORE GIFS LIKE THIS!!! tha ez way!!!!!!!
step 1: download screentogif
step 2: open spore
step 3: open spore settings and uncheck full screen mode (bottom right of graphic settings)

step 4: open the creature you want to make a gif of in the creature creator and click on "test drive" on the top center of the screen

step 6: open screentogif and select "recorder"
step 7: fit the screentogif frame around your spore creature

HINT: if you want to make your gif transparent DO NOT select an animation that kicks up dust. if you do it will interfere with the transparency process.
step 9: hit stop on your recording once the animation is done

step 10: select the end frames (hold shift to select multiple frames) and delete the frames of the animation you dont want to appear in the final cut and press the "delete" button on your keyboard to get rid of them
step 11: once the gif is cut to your liking press "save as" in the "file" tab
step 12: in the "save as" options make sure you have these two options selected and have the color set to pure black
step 13: name and save that shitttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DONE!!!! ENJOY YOUR SPORE GIF!!!
hope this helps @lover-of-cartoonz
I see people talking about the Brave browser in the whole Firefox vs chrome debate, and while people rightly point out that it's just chromium and that they do shady cryptocurrency shit, I never see anyone point out that Brave's founder and CEO is Brandan Eich.
He founded Brave after massive protests against him becoming CEO of Mozilla, resigning after 11 days. And the reason for those protests? He donated a lot of money to the Prop 8 campaign to ban gay marriage.
So just remember: it's not just another chromium fork, it's not just a browser with cryptocurrency bullshit, it's also the browser founded by a homophobe because he got kicked out of his former organization for being a homophobe.
Also, he invented Javascript. I'm willing to believe that maybe he has grown on the gay marriage issue, and made amends for his former mistakes. But Javascript cannot be forgiven.
huh, i did not know that.
